MBA supports Eve Appeal
Maggie Braid Associates recently sponsored Rita and Dean Wiseman as they undertook a gruelling four day trek through the Peruvian Andes on behalf of the Eve Appeal; a charity which raises funds to support gynaecological cancer research.
The trip saw a group of 20 fundraisers - made up of female healthcare professionals, people recovering from cancer and those who have lost friends and relatives to the disease - hike the scenic Lares trail to Ollantaytambo via the pass at Hatun Paso; raising a combined total of more than £80,000 for the cause.
MBA provided Dean and Rita Wiseman with a £3000 donation to the charity as well as branded clothing to wear throughout the trip.
Dean Wiseman said; "Trekking through Peru was a truly amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking with richly vibrant towns set against a backdrop of beautiful mountain scenery".
"If truth be told, the trek itself was more challenging than any of us anticipated and as a group we suffered from a number of altitude related ailments".
"As our main sponsor for the trek, MBA has been outstandingly supportive". With the current climate being far from comfortable it makes every contribution even more significant. Our thanks go to the team at MBA on behalf of the friends and family we have lost and without a doubt the lives of those who will be saved through research funded by the Eve Appeal."
