MBA secures three year contract with TOTAL E&P UK
Maggie Braid Associates (MBA), competence assurance specialists for the oil and gas industry, has secured a three year contract with TOTAL E&P UK worth in the region of £150k per annum.
The technical support contract will see MBA provide additional specialist consultancy services to the ongoing management of TOTAL E&P UK's Competence Management System (CAMS) and to reflect current industry best practice and future requirements.
MBA has sustained an ongoing contract with TOTAL E&P UK for the past three years, providing consultancy services in support of the implementation of TOTAL E&P UK's Competence Assurance System (CAMS) and subsequent OPITO Approval in 2010. In addition, MBA have conducted training and accredited a number of TOTAL E&P UK workplace assessors and internal verifiers both onshore and offshore.

In fulfilling the contract Karen Bellu, competence assurance system manager, has been appointed as project manager. The title comes in recognition of her industry experience, in-depth knowledge of CAMS and her ongoing relationship with TOTAL E&P UK.
Additionally, St Cyrus based MBA has recruited two new members of staff and has acquired further office space in Aberdeen at Regus, Riverside House.
TOTAL E&P UK Limited is one of the largest operators in the UK sector of the North Sea in terms of production and reserves, and is one of the largest exploration and production subsidiaries of the TOTAL Group.
